FISHING

Fishing opportunities abound at Fort Belvoir.  The installation contains 2 ponds (Golf Course and Mulligan) and several miles of shoreline that are accessible by foot.  The most popular species caught is channel catfish and largemouth bass, as well as various species of sunfish.  2 piers located along the shoreline in Tompkins Basin, and 3 at Mulligan Pond provide easy access for those with disabilities.  Rainbow trout are stocked annually in Mulligan Pond.
